Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from candidates who are new to INAJ.
What does INAJ do?
INAJ monitors the job portals of companies you care about, evaluates every new posting against your resume and preferences, and delivers a ranked shortlist each morning. For the roles that look promising, it also generates a tailored resume PDF, finds the LinkedIn contacts worth reaching out to, and — once you have an interview — a company and role-specific prep brief, all without you having to open a job board.
How does INAJ find jobs for me?
When you set up your account you give INAJ a list of target companies. It expands each domain into the full set of applicant-tracking portals that company uses — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, their own careers page, and others — then scans those portals every night. It also pulls from aggregated job feeds to catch postings not listed directly on a company’s own portals. Any posting discovered through any of these sources is evaluated and scored against your profile.
How are matches scored?
INAJ reads the full job description alongside your resume and profile preferences, then assigns a 1–5 fit score. A 3.0 or above lands in “Good Matches” on your dashboard; lower scores go to Bad matches with an explanation of why the role didn’t fit. The score reflects how closely the posting’s requirements overlap with your background — seniority, domain, work-mode requirements, and must-haves you’ve flagged in your preferences all factor in.
Do I get a tailored resume for every match?
No — and that’s intentional. INAJ analyzes every Good Match automatically (the full write-up is ready before the job appears on your dashboard), but a tailored PDF is generated only for roles you actively choose to pursue. Click View on a Good Match, then click Generate Resume in the Actions panel. The result is your own resume re-framed around what this specific posting is looking for, delivered as a download-ready PDF. The monthly plan includes up to 100 tailored resume PDFs. See Analysis & Resume for the full walkthrough.
Can INAJ write my cover letter?
Yes. Once the automatic analysis is done (which happens before the job appears in your Good matches), a Generate Cover Letter action is available in the Actions panel. One click produces a one-page PDF cover letter tailored to the company and your background, written in a natural voice you can send as-is or edit. You can generate up to 100 cover letters per month, resetting at the start of each month. See Analysis & Resume for the walkthrough.
How often does it scan?
Scans run every night. New postings discovered overnight appear on your dashboard in the morning. When you first complete onboarding, an initial scan kicks off automatically so you don’t have to wait until the next morning for your first results.
Can I submit a job I found myself?
Yes. Paste any job posting URL into the submission box on your dashboard and INAJ evaluates it the same way as its automatic discoveries: fit score, full analysis, and a tailored PDF if you want one. LinkedIn, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, and most company career pages all work. See Dashboard for details.
What if a match is wrong — scored too high or too low?
Discard the match and add a note explaining why (e.g., “too junior,” “wrong stack,” “company too small”). INAJ runs a classifier on your note and creates a feedback entry that shapes how similar postings are scored in the future. You can also add a positive note on a role you liked to tell INAJ to surface more like it. Feedback applies to new postings only — it doesn’t retroactively change scores already on your dashboard. See Feedback & Improvement for the full picture.
How much does it cost?
INAJ is $49 per month, one plan, no contracts. There are no setup fees and no placement commissions. Your first 7 days are free with no payment card required. See Billing for the full breakdown of what’s included and how to cancel.
Is my data secure?
Your resume and the profile INAJ derives from it are stored on INAJ’s servers and used only to evaluate and score job postings for you. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe — INAJ never sees or stores your card details. See Billing for more on how Stripe handles your payment information.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. During your free trial you can simply let it end — you’re never charged. After you subscribe, go to Profile → Billing → Cancel subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period; your profile, feedback, and company list are saved in case you return. See Billing for the full cancellation details.
What if I land a job?
Cancel when you get an offer — you owe nothing beyond what you’ve already paid. No commissions, no placement fees.
