Feedback & How the System Improves

This page is about Pro. Basic doesn't get scored matches to give feedback on, so there's nothing here for that plan — your own notes on a job (available on every plan) are covered in Analysis & Resume.

Every time you interact with a match in your rail — discarding it with a note, or typing why a weaker match missed the mark — INAJ can learn from it. When you type a note (e.g., "too junior", "wrong stack", "this is exactly what I want"), a classifier turns that note into a filter that shapes future evaluations.

Example: If you type "company is too small" when discarding a role, future evaluations weight company size more heavily against your preferences.

Look for

Tells INAJ to surface more roles like this one.

Example: If you write "exactly the kind of infrastructure work I want" on a good match, similar roles score higher going forward.

Deleting feedback

Click Delete next to any entry. This permanently removes it — it won't affect future evaluations. Already-processed roles are not changed retroactively.

Tips for better feedback

  • The more specific your note, the sharper the resulting filter.
  • You only need to say each thing once. A general note becomes a lasting preference that applies to all future matches, so there’s no need to repeat the same point on every job.
  • Empty discards (no note typed) skip the classifier — no feedback entry is created.
  • Your feedback only shapes how INAJ scores new postings it finds for you — it doesn’t re-evaluate roles already on your dashboard. To re-score an existing role, discard it and resubmit it.
  • You can delete any entry from your profile's Feedback page if you change your mind.
